So, you're thinking about apping to Mallow Hallow? Awesome! To help you out, this is a test drive meme where you can, well, test-drive your characters and, if you so wish, use this as your sample. We've got some prompts for you to start with, but feel free to come up with your own! Go crazy, really.

Lochwell

a) Whoops! Looks like someone made the mistake of aggravating the king and queen—some poor NPC, or maybe even you. Either way, enjoy being tossed out the castle window and, er, the five-storey fall...

b) Somehow, one of your possessions ended up on top of the castle (maybe it was one of the fairies from Whitewood, those darn fairies). Well, snap. How are you going to get it back?

Mallowhallow

c) Your pillow house just fell apart/exploded into feathers/some other poor, unfortunate fate. Hey, as firm as it was, it was still made of pillows.

d) Uh-oh, your entire (presumably non-pillow) wardrobe is ruined. Have fun browsing Mallowhallow's extensive collection of... pillow clothing...

Orlea

e) Cheating is very, very bad (and you shouldn't do it), but man, this test is really hard. Maybe someone's cheating off of you? Or maybe you ignored our advice up there and you're the one cheating (in which case shame on you).

f) Someone just stole your wallet! We swear not all of Orlea's people are cheaters/thieves.

Astralfield

g) A giant strawberry with a mouth is following you everywhere you go. Everywhere. Maybe it wants to be friends? Or maybe it wants to eat you. Same thing, really.

h) Spiders! Everywhere! Seriously, whose dream was this.

Crystalden

i) There's a new vehicle being developed, going on a test drive for the first time today. Except whoops, looks like it's gone out of control! Maybe you're the poor sucker test-driving the thing or the poor sucker who's in the way—

Highcrest

j) Maybe you lost one of your possessions in there (you sure are losing your possessions often...) or maybe someone dared you, but one way or another, you need to get into the castle. Unfortunately, unless you're asking to become a knight or the leader of the knights needs to talk to you, which she doesn't, the knights aren't going to let you in. What do?

Whitewood

k) So there's an item you really want to buy (or rather, take) but some fairy is tired of you freeloaders, so they're not letting you have it! Wow, mean.

Other

As said, if none of these prompts appeal to you, then feel free to do whatever you want! Well, except for making the game implode. That might be cause problems.

[ She's so focused on thinking up a curse that she's startled by her fellow Dark Mage sneaking up on her. ]

..Ah! You are as bad as Kellam. Did he teach you how to sneak up on people?!

[ Tharja glares at him from beneath her long black hair, still distrustful of him. And it turns out he was speaking to the cat. ]

Don't touch it! Can you not sense it's terrible evil festering in it's dark heart? [ Not that Henry of all people would have a problem with that.. ]

Nope! I've always been able to do this. [especially when animals are involved.

Too late, Tharja, he's started petting it]

Aww, it's just a black cat. Not a single curse on it.

[ Tharja is quick to jump back, worried that the cat could unleash it's hellish torture at any moment. ...Instead it just purrs. ]

You of all people should understand the danger these things pose! I must study them more to learn their weakness. [ Henry, you're supposed to be on her side! ]

They're plenty easy to curse! What did you want to do to it? [He's... sort of on her side.]

[ She can read its dark heart, wishing to sleep on people's faces to smother them, its inability to decide whether it wants to be in or out to drive humans insane, and its plan to cry loudly until everyone spends all their money on feeding the beast. Truly it is an evil thing. ]

I don't need your help! I am devising a perfect curse that will counteract this monster's abilities as we speak. [ Plus, she doesn't really want it dead.. ]

[It's just as smart as the black cat that he usually plays hide and seek with.]

Oooh, new curses! [He doesn't care one way or the other if the cat dies or not. He can use it as a sacrifice for another curse, or he can just play with it. Besides, if it dies, he can always locate another cat to play with. It wasn't like there was a shortage on them.] Are you going to curse it into silence? I already know a curse for that. Or maybe turn it into stone?

[ Why was he always so happy? Henry went against everything her family of Mages was about, but she couldn't say that, she just glared at him, hoping he would read her mind. ]

No, none of those things. I have a special curse in mind...

[there is a possibility that Henry can't actually feel any other emotions, and just sticks to happy because its simplest. Besides, he wasn't born to a family of mages, he was sent off to wizarding school far, far away from them.]

What's it gonna do?

[ ..He won't leave her alone. If it was Robin she would have no trouble explaining everything she was thinking, but she thinks she has to be on the defensive with Henry.

And if she knew about how sad his childhood was she would probably feel bad for him. Don't tell anyone. ]

I'm going to create a curse that gives all of this beasts power directly to me and only me!

[Pfft, what sad childhood. He was only abandoned in the woods to be raised by animals. It's totally great...

[ Even Tharja would be moved by that story. ]

...You can't steal my idea. [ Because competing with Henry is already tough enough as it is without him taking her best ideas. ]
